Entrust Care is a charity based in Coventry established in June 1970 by a group of parents whose children had learning disabilities. It remains committed to meeting the needs of parents/carers and their children, young people and individuals, by developing and delivering quality services in Coventry.
The focus of our services is to provide a more holistic approach to care and support than has been traditionally provided. Leisure and community activities are encouraged, to give each individual access to, and the opportunity to engage in, the full range of quality life experiences enjoyed by people in their peer group.
Brook View is a residential home that specifically caters for up to 8 adults with learning disabilities.
|
Brook View encourages and supports each individual to experience independence, personal choice, and the opportunity for new experiences. All Service Users are fully involved with menu planning, meal preparations and food shopping. They are also responsible for their own bedrooms and playing a part in domestic chores. 5 members of staff are available during the day, 4 staff in the evening and 2 night workers. Entrust Care offers an on call system where Senior Members of staff are always available for advice, back –up and support if required. PCP meetings are held once a year. PCP’S (Person Centred Planning) is a process of continual listening and learning; focusing on what is important to Service Users now, and for the future; and acting upon this in alliance with their family and friends. All staff are trained inline with the current requirements of the National Care Standards Commission and the Government's White Paper "Valuing People - A New Strategy for Learning Disability for the 21st Century, March 2001”. Alongside mandatory training, specialised training is accessed to meet individual needs. Entrust Care is committed to the continued development of the total environment of the services in response to the needs of the individual. |
